Foreign Affair Minister Dato’ Sri Anifah Aman promise will write to his counterpart at Singapore to highlight Yong Vui Kong’s case and will discuss with AG to hold watching brief to the judicial review that will be filed by Yong Vui Kong’s lawyer, Mr M. Ravi next week.

“Emergency Motion” filed by Batu Member of Parliament, Tian Chua to debate about Yong Vui Kong ’s death roll case in the Parliament was denied this morning.

The motion seeks clarification from the  Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (De facto Law Minister) Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz about his remarks that he was unaware of Yong’s case and also to urge the Malaysian government to request the Singapore government to commute Yong’s death sentence.

M Ravi, Vui Kong’s lawyer, will be meeting Foreign Affair Minister YB Dato’ Sri Anifah Hj. Aman later this afternoon.

外交部长拿督阿尼法同意透过外交途径致函给新加坡政府,介入我国青年杨伟光因运毒而在新加坡被判死刑一案!

外交部将会委派精通国际法的官员研究此案的解决方案。

国会议长今早驳回人民公正党峇都国会议员蔡添强的紧急动议,以辩论大马籍青年杨伟光即将在新加坡问吊一事。

外交部长拿督阿尼法,则答应在下午三点半接见杨伟光的律师拉维(M Ravi)。
